Hi Mallory,  Sorry  I haven"t written. but bropke my left wrist in  sept. and sure is hard to type with one hand. It is doing better but sstill swollen and can"t hardly sleep in bed.

Hi Mal, 

I came across your page by searching "bama beat florida" lol.  I was really interested in your story and in many ways know how you feel.  I am a 25yr old that was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 23 in April of 06.  Starting in October of 05 here I was a senior in college and just focused on getting out.. lol.  I started having black out spells, high blood pressure (which is not in my family), hair loss, and just extreme fatigue.  I went through 2 doctors and no one could find out what was wrong with me.  I was in the doctors office 3-4 times a week for labs and no answer.  I went for my yearly check up at the gyno and that is when we found the problem.  A week after my normal check up, it came back abnormal which was odd for me.  I went back a week later and they said it just came back very mild and were going to do a biopsy.  The biopsy came back high and it was cervical cancer.  So all this time of testing and so forth, I had cervical cancer.  I went through 4 surgeries in a matter of 7 months.  I will say it was an extreme shock for me since I was so young and had so many dreams for myself.  I had this dream of getting married after college, having a family, and living a healthy life.  Now I do not live for the future of want, just for the present since you can never predict the future.  I now can say that I have been cancer free for 2yrs as of November 10th.  I do the race for the cure every year and have so much pride in being able to say I beat the battle.  I do know how hard it is to go through things so young bc I"ve lived it and still have fears.  All you can do is pray and thank God each day for the many blessings we receive.  My prayers are with you and a HUGE Roll Tide shout out! :)  God Bless!

We are praying for you to feel much better soon and hope those lab tests on Mon. show a turnaround in the right direction.  Kelley"s Senior Art Show was last Monday so we all were in S.C. for that & it was great -- she"ll have to show you pictures.  She and Kevin are home for the holiday so we are all enjoying one another.  Also, we have a new baby -- a golden retriever named Sarah we got last weekend, so she"s getting lots of attention.  Take care sweety and hi to your family and we will keep checking in on you!!

Thinking positive thoughts for your clinic numbers on Monday.  Keep doing all the doctors ask you to do and maybe a little more added to the mix.  It is important to keep those numbers at their best and then your body can do the rest.  Hey, I made a rhyme and didn"t even mean to.
