Mal,

Sounds like you are still getting some stange kidney numbers.  Alex and George are probably checking out Izzie again and forgot they are supposed to be working.  Who can blame them though, she is the cutest liver around.

You are so lucky to have such a great big brother.  He loves you so much.  Keep drinking those ensures and lots of water.  Maybe you can mix those ensures with a Pixi stick??  Just a thought.  Maybe we should talk to Starbucks about making an ensure drink for you.

Hi Mallory-

My family and I truly admire you and your family for your courage, faith, energy and determination in the face of so many challenges.

You are ALL truly an inspiration to many of us.  The Lord helps those who help themselves.  Sometimes miracles come but only through our own hard work and efforts.

Tell your family "hello" from me.  I think of you often as my own "Mallory" travels back and forth from her second semester of college.  May the Lord bless you and keep you in His care.      Love, Victoria Milam & Family

Good afternoon Miss Mallory....Sure hope today will ge a great day.  I have been working here in the house and getting ready for the real estate lady to come.  Can"t wait to get moved and settled in one place.  I am just like a gypsy....Roaming everywhere.  Maybe I need to learn how to dance like one.  You think you could help me out.  Ha.  Just kidding with you.  Now, Michael,  I know he could....Ha.  You try your very best to eat a lot and drink a lot.  Everytime you drink that ensure just pretend it is a blooming onion.  Yum Yum....or a virgin strawberry coloda..(spelling???)  anyway just think it is something you like a lot....how about GRAVY????I know that will hit the spot for you.  Love you bunches and bunches!!! Everyone down here in PC sends their love and prayers to you all..Love Maw Maw

Hey Mallory,

I just stopped by to check on you.  Woo Hoo, the feeding tube is gone and your rocking to Guitar Hero!  Brittany and Tucker play that often also.  I"ve tried a few times and completely suck at it.  It is a lot of fun though.  I"m thrilled to hear you are doing better.  Stay hydrated and keep getting stronger.  Love ya, Ms. Janie

  Mallory,

You do not know me and I do not know you except through your Daddy and for what I have learned through your web site. I am the mother of 3 and grandmother of 4 so I know this has been very difficult for your whole family because I can tell that they love you sooooo much. ( as they should) I knew you were a remarkable girl even before you got sick. Your strength and courage is a shining example of how all of  us should live each and every day. I pray that God will continue to be with you and guide all the many doctors that make decisions for your health.

Sincerely,  Brenda Greene

Yeah Mal!!!  I will be praying that tube can stay out & you can drink that ensure (somebody could just get rich if they could figure our how to make that stuff taste good) Sometimes, I would put it in milkshakes to make it taste better.  There is a article about my family at www.christianindex.org.  I am almost to the one year mark (Yeah!!!)  I had my first tennis lesson ever yesterday.  It was one of my goals.   I am sure you have lots of those. ( I know my 24yo instructor was laughing his head off on the inside.)  He was great and really took it easy on me.  My kids were all there taking photos of course.  Hope you have a great day!!

Hey Mallory,

I am so happy that you have your feeding tube out!!!  :)  That is wonderful news!!!  I know that is a great feeling.  Do you know if you can have Carnation?  It is like Ensure, but it tastes a whole lot better.  The vanilla and strawberry are great.  I remember one time I had to drink that stuff.  I went from Ensure to something else...I cannot remember the name....to Carnation.  Oh, also the to go Crystal Lights are great to put in your water bottle.  Way to go though....you are getting there step by step!!!

Heather :)

Good morning Miss Mallory...As you know, we have been out of town for a while, but always talk to Mom two or three times a day to check on you all.  I can"t wait to try that new guitar game on WII.  I know I will give you a lot of laughs......But I don"t need that to give you laughs.  All I need to do is talk.    Robert said I have a language all my own.  HA........I am so glad you are feeling better.  Give Munchkins a hug for us.  I am glad Michael is doing better.  I got a letter from Destin and he is hanging in there.  Pray for him.......I love you and will talk with you later.  I love reading the guest book and what everyone writes you. You are so loved by all who know you and even those who have never met you in person.  Love you bunches..... God continue to bless us all.  Maw Maw

Hey Mal,

It is so great to read your post! You have got the greatest sense of humor - you just crack me up! My Son Alex is loves guitar hero - he has gotten pretty good. They make me try it and end up in the floor laughing at me - I am not any good at all - you should see me play mario carts - I use the control like a steering wheel - it does not help at all - I am always crashing!!

We are so glad you are doing so well - can"t wait to come visit you and play with Munchkin! Keep up the good work on getting healthy!

We are so proud of you!!

Take care and we love you!!

Tell Michael we are very proud of him too! Say "Hi" to your Mom and Dad!!

Hi Mallory,

Hoping that you"re getting a wonderful night"s sleep this evening.  Praying for your headache to have diappeared by the time you get this note.  Keeping you in my prayers for a good report from the clinic and for the results to help your medical team keep you in tip top shape for Wii fun games!!!  I haven"t had the Wii experience yet but it sure sounds like fun.  Hopefully one of my grandchildren will acquire one and maybe this energetic Grandma can try it out!!  Have a blessed Monday Mallory.

Blessings from Powder Springs,

Hi Mallory,

Hope you enjoyed those cookies your Mom baked! Sounds yummy to me. Eat A LOT of them so you can keep putting on those pounds.

It"s Mardi Gras time here. It"s been too cold so far to go to any parades. Wish you we able to come down and go to a parade with us. You would have fun!

It"s a sad day here. I am watching the funeral on TV for the 4 children who were thrown off the Dauphin Island bridge by their father. Don"t know if you guys have heard about it or not. I think it has been on national news. It"s been horrible. I don"t see how anyone could possibly do that. They were 4 months old, 1 year old, 2 years old and 3 years old. If you guys want to read about it you could go to fox10tv.com to see the story.

I hope your tests go well Monday and that George and Alex are only experiencing a little laziness!

We"re always thinking of you and praying for you.

Love,

Aunt Robin

Hi Mallory and Lisa,

Ive posted once before but some time ago.  You all dont know me personally as I learned of your story checking a co-worker"s email while she was out in August.  Mallory was on the prayer list for Macland Rd Baptist Church and the daily emails came through, which led me to this site...and I follow the updates each and everyday!  Mal-you are an inspiration to us all, especially young people (I am 28) and I can tell you that you make me strive each day to work harder, stronger and to stay focused...I was writing to find out if you all will be attending the CHOA Taste of Dunwoody event next Friday?  My best friend was attending and once I found out that it benefited CHOA I had to sign up and be apart of the event!!  I didn"t see a posting and wanted to see if you all would be making it! Hope all is well with you and your family!!

Hey Mal

Got to meet your Mom and Princess Steven at a CHOA Employee Engagement Teem Meeting yesterday. Your mom told us the story behind #17. I had heard it a couple times before but it still gave me goose bumps. I"m sure your mom told you about the checking account number here for CHOA 21717. Goose bumps again...Anyway it was great to finally meet your mom. She"s an amazing person. She told us a story about little babies on your floor that parents didn"t come to visit so after yesterdays meeting I talked briefly to Steven and will be signing up to volunteer 1 day a month. Have a great weekend Mal.

One more thing.  Mal, have you tried guitar hero yet?  It is addictive.  If anyone knows of a support group for people addicted to Guitar hero, let me know as the Lawrence family needs one.  Of course Kevin and I suck, but the girls are good.

Well George and Alex are slacking off again.  Izzie will just have to get them both moving again.  Maybe the writer"s stike will end soon and we will get to see more of Izzie on TV than we are seeing now.  We will be getting LOST back next week, but I did not know if you were a fan of that show.  I know your mom was for a while and she got me hooked.  It really seems like a long time since Jack Bauer has been kicking butt, maybe the strike is a cover to wait for Keifer Sutherland to get out of jail for drunk driving. (LOL)

Way to go on getting rid of the yucky stuff (yeah Todd!).  We all need a little less of that in our lives.  Michael, get well soon.  Sinus infections are the worst and you just need to get a lot of rest.  Your mom is almost a certified nurse now, so be sure to heed her advice. Prayers for all of the Smith family!

Prayers and best wishes to Destin and Preston.  Keep up the good work!

Hi Mallory,

Great news on your numbers and know that the prayers are continuing!!  I just love your Maw Maw!! She is just precious. What a blessed girl you are to have such a devoted Maw Maw and family.  In case you don"t remember I found your site through Katherine"s CaringBridge site.  Since then I have kept you on my prayer list.  Katherine is also blessed with an adoring family. It"s wonderful to know how you two girls lift each other up in prayer and show us all how to remain faithful in life"s battles.

I am looking forward and hoping that the snow comes in tonight.  The weather report at noon was that it may begin in Atlanta area around 3:00am. I know you and mom have all the snacks ready so enjoy your weekend!!  Blessings from Powder Springs,

Good morning to you all and I know you will looking forward to some  Big Hug more snow.  I got on the weather network and saw you are expecting more snow.  I called Michael last night and I am so very proud of him.  He is a wonderful young man.    I am proud of all my family.  I have been so blessed to have such amazing families.  God has been so good to us.  We will be going to Eufaula this afternoon and I don"t have internet up there yet, but will be talking to you daily to make sure you are still doing great.  Prayers and prayers and prayers are being answered each day.  You just keep eating all you can and you will get stronger each day.  I am almost finished with my project.  I will finish it when we return to Panama City on the 27th.  Be careful on the road with that nasty water coming.  Love you all.....Give Mom and Dad and Michael a hug for me and I am sending you a great big hug.  Love you Maw Maw
