Hi!! You don"t know me, but we have A LOT more in common than either of us realize! No, I personally haven"t had a transplant, but my daddy had a heart transplant on October 2, 2007. I know exactly what you and your family are going through with all the meds, what you guys went through with all the waiting, and the up and down days that you face now. My daddy, much like yourself, was in dire need of a transplant. The doctors told him it was life or death. God decided it was life, and Daddy was blessed with a second chance. He has really good days, and a few not so good days. He hasn"t rejected yet, and we are praying he never does. He has AWFUL mood swings, but we take it in stride!! I"m sure you NEVER have those mood swings I"m referring to ;-) Anyway. I just wanted you to know that your story really touched home with me. You are SO young and beautiful. You have a full life ahead of you, and I truly hope you embrace it! My daddy made many friends along the way, one being a 16 year old girl. She was a barrel racer in need of a double lung and heart transplant. The week daddy was sent home, he bumped into the girls family in tears. They found out she didn"t make it. It truly put things into perspective for us. Tomorrow is never promised, but God blessed you with a second chance. I believe you are going to do something GREAT with your second chance! I hope you embrace it and go change the world!!! Don"t let an IV or 30 different meds slow you down!! Change the world with it! God bless you and your family!!
