Hey Mal and Lisa! You all are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. I know you have got to be so home sick. But I also know how thankful you must feel at this time. God is still in control and performing miracles for you. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and please know that all of you will be in our prayers. Rest for now sweet angel so you can eat some turkey tomorrow and all the great things that come with it.

Mallory and family,

So sorry it has been a while since I left you a note. KMHS has been really busy! Also, on October 30th...I became a grandmother for the second time...beautiful baby girl, Morgan. I have been reading all about what is going on and it sounds like you are getting better and stronger each day! Keep up the good work and you will be home soon. (I know you all cannot wait for that day!) My thoughts and prayers continue with you daily and you all are loved and cared about so much.

Hey Mallory! I was so glad to see that you signed my guest book. I"m still pushing for the Wii! I was also glad that you were able to get out of that horrible room. I remember the hard days of the feeding tube. I was so happy the day I found out that I didn"t have to have it anymore. I KNOW that day will come for you. I hope you have a great day, full of GOOD memories. HAng in there!

Hey Mal!

I am so sorry that I haven"t seen you all week! Finals were crazy and then Chris and I broke up, and on top of that I have been working nonstop and getting ready for China so its been a little hectic. I really wish I could have seen you again before I ventured off but I have to leave at 5am tommorrow and I need the spend the day packing. I hope that the next couple of weeks go by smoothly for you and that I will be able to come visit you at your house when I get back. Wouldn"t that be lovely? I promise to find you something special on my trip. Good luck and I will see you soon!

I love you!!!

Hi Mallory and Lisa,

Just getting back into town and thrilled to see our Team Mal shirt had arrived -- thanks for mailing it.  It"s in Kelley"s room to surprise her when she gets home tonight for the holiday.  We continue to pray for you daily and so happy you are making progress and even a little song & dance.  As we count our blessings, we are so thankful for you all, your courage and strong faith.  We will be lifting up all the details to be worked out for your time to go home -- those Home Health Nurses are amazing and such a big help!!  Wishing your whole family a Happy Thanksgiving!

In His Love,

Mallory, just wanted to let you know that the Faith Sunday school class from First Baptist Church in Sunnyvale, Texas, (suburb of Dallas) has been praying for you.  You don"t know me, but I was a neighbor and friend of your grandmother Kitty back in Satsuma, Alabama, in the late "50s, early "60s.  I know what a fine Christian family the Roberts family was and is.  I first heard about your situation last year from Lucille Dunn and heard about your current situation from a high school friend who had talked to Mrs. Roberts.  Anyway, my class continues to pray for your recovery.  I know that God still performs miracles and that He hears our prayers.  May God bless you and your family.  Have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.

Hello, to all of your precious family!!

We are so very happy for you that you got a short vacation!  YEEEEEE HAAA!

I know it was so good to get out of those four walls even if it was just a short time! I know that it was wonderful for the family to get out and be together in a more normal environment! Enjoy all of your precious minutes, they are just a stepping stone to getting back home again! I know you will still have to do all of your med things but that two shall pass! Our prayers are being answered , we just have to let God do his work and not try to rush Him!  In His Time!!!   God Bless You All!     Big soft huggies!

Love YA!

Hey,

I"m sure the social worker has already shared information with you but don"t forget GTF has funding available to help with these....that  is a lot of "out of pocket" at one time - even with insurance, the co-pays can add up.  Many of our mentors with the GTF Mentor Project read the updates daily and keep you in our thoughts. We are so excited that the recovery process is finally going well and maybe Home is just around the bend.

Hey throw up monster!  You"ve worn out your welcome and Halloween was a long time ago.  Go back to your cave and do not appear again.

Mal, great news on your field trip.  It sounded like a lot of fun.  Those smoothies can be packed with nutrition, so that may have been a wise choice.  I know you are hoping to be home by Thanksgiving, but if not please let me know if I can cook a turkey, (I got an extra one just in case), help you mom make a few dishes, buy groceries.  A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G you need to make the day special.

Love Ya and keep up the great progress

We will see you real soon.......Love you bunches and bunches........Maw Maw and Robert

Mallory--

I"m so glad you got to get out! And to Lenox too, woo hoo... we LOVE Lenox! Anyways, I was at the Alabama game Saturday-- total bummer. I"ve never seen a sadder bunch of fans in my life. All of the people I was with said that they had never been in the stadium when it was that quiet before.

But even though they lost, I still had a great time and definitely want to go to another game sometime soon... hopefully with YOU! So keep on making progress and before you know it we"ll be there.

I LOVE DAY PASSES!  I got them while I was waiting for transplant and they were a godsend to my family to be able to get me out.  I was in hospital about 6 months so they helped tremendously!

So, glad it was a good day!  Hoping and praying for a good night!

Hi Girls, thrilled to hear out touring "the outside world".  I am also glad the meds are through the tube so you can indeed go home.  I too hate stomach aches at night.  Kaye takes a lot of chemo on the weekend so she seems to hurt more.  As we speak, she is laying down on the couch.  We have not had a visit from the throw up monster in a while and I am thankful.  We will continue to pray, keep up the good work, rest, walk and we will wait right along beside you.  Peace Out

What a wonderful message!!...except for the "throw up monster."

The doc"s are "fine tuning" her meds.   They will hit the correct combo and then she will be off and running.

When I came home from the hospital I took 72 pills a day.  Now I take 13 one day and 14 the next.  Can take them with one gulp of water.  Was on Cyclosporin at first.  The drug made me grow a beard and I had hair growing out my ears!  They changed me to Prograf and now I don"t have to shave.  "Hair Growth For Men" should put their customers on Cyclosporin :-).

Keep up the good work, Mal.  You are almost home free!!

Hi Mal,

I was just looking at your new pictures. You are TRULY AMAZING! In each picture you somehow manage a smile....even while on dialysis! I don"t know how you did it...must have been your faith in God giving you the strength to keep going. I am so thankful that you had that strength. I am so proud of you. You are my hero.

I hope that you will have a GREAT weekend and that the itching will not come back. Can"t wait to get my new TEAM MAL shirt! I will wear it proudly.

Hey Mallory,

Thank you so much for the card...that was so sweet of you.  :)  I am so glad that you are being able to eat...I LOVE chicken alfredo!!!  The olive garden is the absolute best.  :)  I remember when I stared itching after my transplant.  I thought that I was going to scratch myself raw!!  It was awful...just use lots of bath and body lotion!  I pray that you will be out of there by Thanksgiving....eat lots of turkey and dressing too!!

Heather :)
