Just know that there are angels watching over you.

I was walking home from school on a cold winter day
Took a shortcut through the woods, and I lost my way
It was getting late, and I was scared and alone
But then a kind old man took my hand and led me home
Mama couldn"t see him, oh but he was standing there
And I knew in my heart, he was the answer to my prayers

Oh well I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live, to teach us how to give
To guide us with the light of love

When life held troubled times, and had me down on my knees
There"s always been someone to come along and comfort me
A kind word from a stranger, to lend a helping hand

A phone call from a friend, just to say I understand
And ain"t it kind of funny at the dark end of the road
That someone lights the way with just a single ray of hope

Oh well I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live, to teach us how to give
To guide us with the light of love

They wear so many faces, show up in the strangest places
To grace us with their mercy, in our time of need

Oh well I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live, to teach us how to give
To guide us with the light of love
To guide us with the light of love

Mallory, we have never met but I pray for you like you are my own.  My daughter Ashlee was a freshman cheerleader when you were a senior at KMHS.  I remember her asking me to purchase a "Team Mal" T-shirt, which she still wears even at college.  I remember getting the news about "Doug" and what a joyous ocassion that was and I remember the first time I saw you.  You were crownd Homecoming Queen and rightfully so.  The smile you wore was better than any ball gown I"ve ever seen.  I just knew that everything was going to be good for you after that.  And now you"re faced with a new challange, a new battle.  You are a child of God and are armed with the most powerful weapon of all.  You are a beautiful and strong young woman.  My family and I will continue to lift you up in our prayers.  We also pray for your mom and dad to have strength, faith and comfort in knowing how many people love you and care about you.  We are cheering you on!!!  Denise, Ashlee, Dennis & Bryan

We have been keeping up with your progress and we wanted you to know that you are continuously in our prayers. (You, your family, and your friends)As bizarre as this sounds, I had a dream last night that I was at Northstar along with my daughters and several other young ladies you went to high school with. You came out and were so happy and HEALTHY. You were smiling and talking with everyone. I introduced myself and shared that I had been praying for your healing and you told me that you knew.. that you could feel our prayers and how they helped you get better!! I"m praying hard that this dream will come true. You have touched so many lives with your tremendous faith and courage and I know you will continue to touch thousands more.

Sarah Harvill

Dear Mallory,

You are continually in my thoughts and prayers. I came by to visit you in the hospital on Thursday and I wasn"t sure what to expect. Once I got to the right hospital (first went to Piedmont) I got to meet your mom and brother and aunt. I also saw Joe there and another friend then a few more friends from Bible study came by. (You are so loved). I want to tell you something that just warmed my heart. When I came around the corner to peek at you through your ICU window I saw your dad at his little post right outside your door. It was difficult for me to hold back the tears in this brief interaction. What I saw was a father who was guarding the door of his little girl protecting her the only way he could at the moment by limiting the people who came in contact with her so she could heal. He was like a guardian angel with his chair pulled right up to your window so he wouldn"t miss a thing happening in your room. I know he and your mom take shifts watching you and being there for you every second. It made me think about how people say God is like a father. For the people who have not had a father in their lives or the many people who have had fathers walk out on them or hurt them this is a difficult concept to grasp. When I saw your dad sitting there at your window looking weary and prayerful and strong and protective and desperate and so full of hope and faith and many other things I can"t describe except to say that what I saw was love. I understand what they mean "God is like a father". I saw it there. You are so blessed Mallory and you bless so many others. Keep fighting. I have so much to tell you when you wake up. Everyone does. Love you, Sarah

Mallory, I so clearly remember the first time I met you @ KMHS, and as many girls as I have watched try out for cheerleading, your freshman year tryout still stands out in my mind. I remember the crazy striped knee-high socks you were wearing, and I remember thinking who is this tall girl with this amazing tuck!!! There was no doubt in my mind that I wanted you on Varsity Comp. Squad and there was no doubt that you were special! What can I say...I"m an excellent judge of character! I love you Mallory!
