Lori Whitfield mentioned Mallory in her update on her little girl"s Caring Bridge page. I went to teammal.org and read all that you all have been through. I cannot begin to imagine the range of emotions you must be experiencing and yet your Faith remains strong. I commend you on that. I have been praying very hard for Mallory and also, you, Mike and Lisa. For Mallory to start getting better, for those infections to go away and (even though she is not awake) for her Faith to remain strong and for her to keep fighting as much as her little body can. For you, Mike and Lisa, I pray for the energy that you need to continue to be by Mallory"s side, for your Faith in God and his will not to waver and that your friends and family continue to come visit and show you support. In your posts it seems that Mallory is blessed with family and friends. That alone shows the kind of person that she must be.
Mallory"s experience with her broken toe that she posted about absolutely gave me chills. Our God is an awesome God and does listen to us and answers our prayers. We don"t always understand his reasoning and would most definitely change things if it were in our power but that is where our Faith comes in.
I know that I am a complete stranger but I would like to offer to do anything for you and your family. My job is flexible and this time of the year we are slow. I am off on weekends. My boys are 17 and 19 so they don"t need me around too much.
I will continue to pray for Mallory and your family. Tomorrow morning I will be putting Mallory on our church"s prayer list and will tell our congregation about teammal.org so they can also read Mallory"s story and get a prayer chain started in our area.
Mallory is a hero in my eyes as well as you both, Lisa and Mike. The strength and faithfulness that you all radiate is remarkable to me.
My prayer tonight for you all is that new eyes are brought in for a new perspective and the mouth that goes with those eyes says "I know exactly what it is." That treatment will be started and Mallory will start getting better right away.
May God bless you beyond your wildest dreams.
A new friend, Kira Swygert
