Monday, January 3, 2011 | A Friend |
Mallory,
You have been through more than I can imagine. Keeping your spirits up is a hard task under daily stress through ordinary days and that you can keep smiling through all of this and keep fighting is a true inspiration. I have never met you and chances are that I never will on this Earth; but, Lord willing, one day I will get to give you a hug and let you know what you did for me today. I know of you through a mutual friend who has been praying for you, visiting, and standing beside you all the way. She has kept us updated on you for months. I read your story and feel like I know a little bit about you and all I can say is - wow. You are a blessed woman. Whatever God"s plan for you in all of this, He has certainly used you to touch many lives. Thank you for always being a light for Him. True faith is looking at the impossible and saying "MY GOD CAN" Whatever the outcome, you have brought Him glory, and you can rest assured that He is smiling on you, His beautiful child. "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will
drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than
food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But
if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and
tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, "What shall we eat?" or "What shall we drink?" or "What shall we wear?" For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be
anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." ~Matthew 6:25-34 (ESV)
God sustain and bless you, Mallory, you are in my prayers. God will use you and your story greatly! Never lose heart. Keep your head high and genuine joy for your days and mine are numbered and God alone knows them. From our point of view it may seem wrong or unjust what you go through. But you are never given more than you can handle and God knows that you are stronger than you think and will give you all that you need to make it through. Thank you, Mallory, today I feel as if I have gained a friend.
