Continuous prayers are going up.  You have all been on my mind during this holiday season - especially Christmas day.  I"m so glad that you are keeping us updated, I truly appreciate it.

I keep checking the website for news that you"ve woken up from your sleep because I KNOW that day will come soon.  I am amazed (but not surprised!) at the number of people that are praying for you and pulling for you, Mallory.  God is good all the time!  I keep reading that you are a fighter and I believe this is true with all you"ve been through.  Keep fighting!  Mallory, you"ve touched so many lives with your dear heart and beautiful smile.  Many of us have a Christmas wish that couldn"t be bought at any store and we"re still waiting for that gift to arrive.  :)  Wake up, sweet Mallory!  <3

Well, Mallory...we just got back home from visiting you at the hospital.  You have made it through yet another AMAZING obstacle!  I know that you still have a journey ahead of you but you keep jumping through all the obstacles and just keep on going.  YOU are so AMAZING and ENCOURAGING!  You have touched so many lives and are an inspiration.  YOur mom (and the rest of your family too..but nothing compares to a mother"s love for her daughter) cannot wait to have you back at home and celebrate Christmas!  We all love you so much and pray for you all the time..you are always on our mind and in our hearts.  Makenzie wants to know who makes the rules that she is too young to come see you but your mom has promised as soon as she can that she will get her in your room!  Good nigh, sweet Mal and I will check on you in the morning!

I saw you again on Christmas Eve, but wasn"t able to visit you today due to some weather conditions. I will try to see you again this thursday but in the mean time, I will (as well as my family and friends) continue to pray for you and your family to get through this mess. This is David Leslie once again...the father of Jill Leslie Ausmus, another beautiful creation of God who received her second liver transplant almost two years ago.

Your journal entries remind me of difficult times....too difficult to put into words.  I truly know how difficult it is to "see beyond the moment."  I really wish I could reach out and touch you and let you know once again that we can make it through.

Please know that I have prayed for Mallory and your family since receiving Jill"s email.  I will continue to pray for you throughout each day.  If you are like me, you  know from experience that your daughter will always do her part.  So please know that we in Southern Indiana are praying for the whole treatment team, that they will be blessed with insight, compassion and all that is needed to bring Mallory to health.
