Can"t wait to read in your next update what surprising thing you did tonight?? I can only imagine how excited everyone in Ala was to see you both!!!  It"s so wonderful you had such a great Grandpa!! I love the story you and Mom share with us about the #17!!! 

Lifting you up in prayer and sure hope the sinus problems are much better tonight!! IN the summer I seem to cure my sinus problems by getting in the pool and enjoying the sunshine. I wanted to send a note to let you know the Thompson family is always thinking and praying for all of you and hope all is well. We are always checking the site for updates. Courtney is doing well, I recently went thru stage 2 for possible crossmatch to be able to donate a kidney for Courtney we are hoping the results come back soon and with good news. We are having a cars,bike,truck show benefit for Courtney on Saturday May 31st at Hooters in Kennesaw. We will have "KIDNEY FOR COURTNEY" bracelets available. I hope you can come by and see us. Hi!

I know this may seem a bit strange to email you not even really knowing you at all.  My name is Jen Klouse.  I am a liver transplant recepient.  I had my transplant back on September 15 1998.  I must say that was a life changing experience; I didn"t really think I was gonna make it.  I had Wilson"s Disease and so did my brother.  The reason I am writing to you is that we share a few things in common; such as the tranplant.  The other thing that we share that has been on my heart every since I found out he passed away is Alex.

You see, I never got to meet him; although we were making plans to meet at the Transplant Games this summer; I was so excited about it!  He actually emailed me out of the blue a long time ago; he had read my story on myspace and told me that reading my story made him feel so much better and that it gave him the courage to fight and live on; he wasn"t afraid anymore.  That touched me so much; even though I never got to meet him; I knew in my heart that God had brought him into my life for a reason.  We would talk every couple of weeks just to see how things were going; and a great friendship grew from that.  It had been a month sinc I had heard from him which I thought was strange.  So I went to his page and read all of the comments saying rest in peace and we will miss you.  It really hit my heart; I try to take cmfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain.  I know that someday I will see him again.  He was the most honest, most genuine person I got the pleasure of knowing.  He lived everyday as if it were his last.  When I head to the games this summer, his memory is what will push me even more to do my best!!  I pray that you are doing well and I have been praying for his family and friends...as I know they were his world.  I hope that you and I can become as great of friends with you as him and I were getting to be.  I look forward to hearing back from you and please give his family some love from me.  I trust this day finds you well and in good spirits.

My friend Jen had become a good friend of his through myspace, she was a transplant recipient and Alex found her story and began to contact her and tell her how he was gaining courage through her stories. Well, Jen just messaged me that Alex passed away. We are soo incredibly sorry for your loss. It sounds like you and him were great friends and really looked out for one another. We were wondering if you might be able to give us more information on exactly what happened and when he passed on. My prayers will be with his family, you and yours.

We were so saddened on Mother"s Day last week to hear about Alex. What you wrote about him was so moving. There are just no very comforting words that someone can say at a time like this. I think you guys were both so blessed to have known each other. I think that God plans WHEN things happen for a reason. He evidently wanted you and Alex to become friends WHEN you did, so that you and your family would be in his life when he most needed your love and frienship. He couldn"t have had a better friend than you.

I am sorry to here about Alex but I am glad that he is now in a better place where he will not feel anymore pain just like you said.
